In case you guys don’t remember which I’m pretty sure you don’t, I blog something about my ex-girlfriend some time ago.
At that time I was hoping my girlfriend couldn’t see my blog post but of course I was wrong. Yup she was kind of upset that I had insensitively posted what she considered taboo. Even my ex saw my posting and wrote an email questioning me. Dang! I just opened a can of worms.
Anyway most importantly I managed assured my gal that it happened many eons ago and she’s the angel of my life now (stop laughing guys, I know you all can be even more mushy!). But she’s not too happy about the “adventurous part” of my past, so I told her to be patient and wait for the screening of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past because there may be something good in the worst of guys. Agree guys?
Thanks to Nuffnang, I was presented with two free movie passes last Thursday for the special screening of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past before its official release. Needless to say I excitedly took my angel to watch it at One Utama TGV.
Okay, the story directed by Mark Waters is about celebrity photographer Connor Mead (MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY) who loves freedom, fun and women…in that order. A committed bachelor with a no-strings policy, he thinks nothing of breaking up with multiple women on a conference call while prepping his next date.

Connor’s brother Paulie is more the romantic type. In fact, he’s about to be married. Unfortunately, on the eve of the big event, Connor’s mockery of romance proves a real buzz-kill for Paulie, the wedding party and a houseful of well wishers—including Connor’s childhood friend Jenny (JENNIFER GARNER), the one woman in his life who has always seemed immune to his considerable charm.
Just when it looks like Connor may single-handedly ruin the wedding, he gets a wake-up call from the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne (MICHAEL DOUGLAS), the hard-partying, legendary ladies man upon whose exploits Connor has modeled his lifestyle. Uncle Wayne has an urgent message for his protégé, which he delivers through the ghosts of Connor’s jilted girlfriends—past, present and future—who take him on a revealing and hilarious odyssey through a lifetime of failed relationships. Together, they will discover what turned Connor into such a shameless player and whether he has a second chance to find and this time, keep the love of his life.
And then… okay I don’t wanna spoil your fun, go see it for yourself especially you “adventurous” bastards :) Overall the movie is hilarious and the story flow is spontaneous. Jeniffer Garner was absolutely gorgeous! Matthew McConaughey is a bit less than expressive while Michael Douglas is at his classically best.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is coming soon to cinemas near you on 30 July 2009
I don’t know about you, to have ghosts of past girlfriends haunting me is one hell of a scary experience. But on hindsight, my girlfriend is happy with the ending... well worth it ;)
